FAQ

How long will it take to clean my carpet?
Our carpet-cleaning professionals can clean the average room in about 30 minutes. This time depends on how dirty the carpet is, if the room is cleared for access and the type of carpet we are cleaning. Deeper pile carpets may take a little longer to clean as will dirtier ones.

Why is steam cleaning better than other cleaning methods?
Steam cleaning uses natural cleaning agents in a solution that is super heated and then injected deep into the fibers of the carpeting. This solution loosens the dirt found there and then is immediately removed with a high-powered vacuum. Other methods reply on harsh chemicals or excessive water to clean your carpets and run the risk of damaging the delicate fibers pr leaving residue behind.

How long do I have to wait to walk on the carpet?
Because professional steam-cleaning equipment removes 95% of the liquid immediately, you can walk on the carpet as soon as the process is finished with bare feet or clean socks. You should avoid heavy traffic for a few hours in order to give the carpeting adequate time to dry completely.

Will steam cleaning remove the stains from my carpet?
The steam cleaning process relies on high temperature liquids to actually break the adhesive bonds the dirt uses to cling to your fibers, so most stains can be eliminated with a normal cleaning. Specialized spot cleaning can also be done for stubborn stains or high-traffic areas if needed.

Do I have to worry about my pets?
Because steam cleaning eliminates the need for hash chemicals and uses only a natural solution for cleaning, there is no danger to your pets or your family. You will need to remove your pets from the area while the carpet is being cleaned but they can return as soon as the process is finished.

What type of chemicals do you use in the cleaning process?
Steam cleaning uses a natural, water based cleaning solution that helps eliminate the dangers of chemicals use in other carpet cleaning methods. Even though slightly more aggressive cleaning agents may be used for spot treatment of stains, these solutions are also removed as part of the steam cleaning process.

Won’t the excess water damage my carpet and padding?
The steam cleaning process heats the cleaning solution to super heated temperatures and then injects this solution into the carpet through a specialized nozzle as steam. Because of this, very little water is actually applied to the carpet. In addition, any cleaning solution that is applied to treat the carpet is immediately removed as part of the process through the use of a high-powered vacuum.

How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
To keep your carpets in the best shape possible you should schedule an appointment for cleaning at least once a year. If the carpet is in a high-traffic area of your home or is exposed to excessive outdoor traffic you may want to do it more often.

Is steam cleaning more expensive than other methods?
Because steam cleaning typically does a more thorough job of removing the dirt and stains from your carpet, you’ll find you need to clean your carpets less often as a result. This longer time between cleanings translates into an overall lower cost for carpet cleaning throughout the average life of a carpet. In addition to these long-term savings, steam cleaning is still less expensive than many other methods on a single appointment basis.
